Approximately three dozen people representing several different states and Canada found refuge from an early evening thunderstorm at the annual SABR meeting in Tillapaugh's Funeral Home following the 2005 Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cooperstown, NY.
The popular and entertaining speakers were:
— Jerry Amernic: author of Gift of the Bambino
— David Block: author of Baseball Before We Knew It.
— Cecilia Tan: author of The 50 Greatest Yankee Games.
— Dennis Corcoran: who discussed his ongoing research on the history of the Induction Ceremony.

Presentation of the Cliff Kachline Award was rescheduled to the next meeting.
Richard Hunt, Gene Carney, and Scott Fiesthumel talked about Cooperstown Chapter news and a used book auction was held to raise funds for chapter mailings, awards, etc.
