Started in Gloversville, NY during World War I, Ken-Wel moved to New Hartford and Utica, NY. Some of Ken-Wel's innovative baseball glove designs included the Dazzy Vance model and the Lou Gehrig mitt. Ken-Wel also sold equipment for football, basketball, boxing, tennis, hockey, lacrosse, golf and more.
The video contains information and photos describing the company history, as well as information on its main focus -- baseball gloves. Includes photos of the companies past as well as showing numerous Ken-Wel items as they exist today. Glove collectors will be especially interested in the listing of gloves from Ken-Wel's 1924, 1928, 1933, & 1938 catalogs.
